Blinklings is a play design project that my friend Muniza and I developed to combine interactive storytelling with hand-drawn portraits. Inspired by Korean-style photo booths, we created a playful experience where participants insert a coin, interact with a “machine” (that’s us behind the scenes!), and receive a unique, hand-drawn portrait in 3 minutes.

The booth design encourages curiosity and engagement, transforming a simple illustration into a fun, memorable encounter. Blinklings explores how design can turn everyday moments into opportunities for joy and connection, blending interaction, humour, and creativity.
